Smart, intelligent and independent Scully has become an alter ego to this celebrity. OctanMen, online men’s celebrity magazine, wipes out this image and presents a punk. A punk, yes that was the nick name the leading lady was given in her wonder years.
Anderson has been itinerant, ever since she was born on August 9, 1968, to Rosemarry Anderson, a computer analyst, and Edward Anderso, owner of a film production company. Soon after her birth in Chicago, the family moved to Puerto Rico for 15 months and then to Crunch End. In Crunch End, she was enrolled in Fortismere School. Once again, the entire Anderson family shifted base to London, where she resided for nine years.

At the age of 11, she found a new address, this time Grand Rapids, Michigan. Most Bizarre, Class Clown, Most Likely to go Bald, Most Likely to be Arrested…..these were the titles class mates presented her in high school. With a pierced nose and dyed hair, the young Gillian was caught attempting to jam the high school doors. ‘I was confused in my teen years. I was arrested on graduation night for breaking and entering into the high school,’ she confessed in an interview for TV Guide.
‘I was angry and it was my way of keeping people at a distance. I was always off in my own little world or being sent to the principal's office for talking back,’ uttered the gal.
Acting cupid first stuck her, when she auditioned for a community play. Grand Rapids Civic Theater gave this high school gal her identity. Her energy was productively utilized. ‘When the acting bug hit my outlook changed, my grades went up and I was voted 'most improved student,’ expresses Gillian.

Her mother Rosemary recollects, ‘From the start Gillian had a real flare for the dramatic. That has simply always been her personality. But the first time I knew something was really up with her and acting was when she was 14 and a teacher assigned her the "Romeo And Juliet" balcony scene. Gillian had no background in Shakespeare, acting or anything remotely like it. Nobody on either side of our family had any experience with acting. Her father was interested in film production, but that had mostly been connected with industrial training films and commercials. But she studied that scene and mastered it with no effort whatever. When she performed it for me my jaw just dropped.’
Few roles in various community theaters, gave her an opportunity to display her skills. In order to polish her skills, Anderson attended The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1990. She also participated in the National Theatre of Great Britain's summer program at Cornell University

‘Absent Friends’ was Gillian’s first break. This stylish actor’s outstanding performance was hugely appreciated and she was bestowed with a Theater World Award. However, the family person dint sees her acting graph rise, until X- Files happened. ‘I didn't foresee at all that it was going to become as popular as it has. I often thought, 'What have I gotten myself into?' The first year was the hardest in terms of getting into the grueling hours and sleep deprivation and having to perform constantly, day in and day out,’ Gillian recalled of the first season.
On the sets of X- Files, Gillian met Clyde Klotz, assistant art director, and fell in love with him. "It wasn't quite love at first sight. It was Clyde's smile that first attracted me. He was very quiet, rugged and cool, but I soon realized he had a lot to say and that he was a very intelligent man," voiced the lady to an online men’s fashion magazine.
On New Year's Day of 1994, Gillian and Clyde flew to Hawaii and got married on the 17th hole of a golf course. Two days later, Mrs Clyde was back on sets. And a few months later, she was pregnant.
