Almost half of Hollywood’s glamour babes owe their success to the king of soft porn Hugh Hefner, and Carmen Electra is no exception. Electra’s brush with fame came only after she stripped for the world’s most raved men’s magazine The Playboy. Electra (originally born as Tara Leigh Patrick) started her career as a singer with a solo album contract signed with Prince’s recording company at the Paisley Park Records, which failed to impress anyone, making Electra try her luck with the television. But as destiny had it, Electra did not sizzle even in the small screen.

Electra kept playing hide and seek with her destiny but failed at every step, until Hefner featured her nude in The Playboy men’s magazine (1996). After the debut of The Playboy magazine, Electra was not only famous among men but also marked her entry into the celebrity world, with big offers pouring in like never before. Playboy exposure bagged her high profile role in the hit television series Baywatch. She remained part of the Baywatch cast for a year only, but her strong fan following made producers of the series bring her back for the re-union movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding (2003).

 

It was 1996 Playboy magazines photo-ops that made her popular among men, especially with Playboy readers who voted for her come-back (thrice) to grace the covers of the world’s most read (viewed) men’s magazine. Electra became the first women to be honored as a guest celebrity photographer for Playboy, for which she choose Playmate Jennifer Walcott as her subject.

 

Cinematic Love

Apart from television and The Playboy, Electra appeared in a number of movies like, Good Burger (1997), The Mating Habits of the Earthbound Human (1999), the horror spoof Scary Movie (2000) and also appeared in Scary Movie 4 (2006), Date Movie (2006), Epic Movie (2007), the remake of the 1970s TV show Starsky & Hutch (2004) and Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (2005).
 
Electra made many eyeballs roll with her perfected art of locking lips, as her kissing scene in Starsky & Hutch won her an MTV Movie Award in Best Kiss category. Though her acting works are generally slammed by critics, she still manages to draw crowds to the theaters with her curvy figure and charming looks.

 

All for Love
Carmen Electra had her share of typical Hollywood style romances, the flame of love usually extinguishing even before it started burning. But in Electra’s case it was her little girl crush on John Jett that kept the tabloids busy during 2006-07, later Electra cleared the air on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show by calling her relationship with Jett as just friendship. 

 

Electra’s first romantic association was with the rock and pop artist Prince, but it could not last long and Electra found solace in rap star B-Real’s company; though none of the affairs consummated into marriage.

 

After an on and off affair/marriage with basketball star Dennis Rodman in 1998-99, Electra briefly crossed the way of Pamela Anderson’s ex-husband Tommy Lee Jones. In 2003 Electra married former lead guitarist of rock bands Jane’s Addiction and Red Hot Chili Pepper Dave Navarro, the marriage lasted for three years with Electra and Dave filing for divorce in February 2007.

 

Currently Electra is dating KoRn live guitarist Rob Patterson and is happily sporting a ‘R’ tattooed behind her ear, thus confirming the engagement with Rob. 

 

As long as this sexy Playboy cover lass is rocking the men’s libidos nobody is minding her on and off short flings.
